Mechanical Characteristics of Parylene versus Other Coating Types |
The parylene polymers are deposited from the vapor phase by a process which in some Figure 3 shows a comparison of Parylene C, Epoxy and Polyurethane hardness as measured using the "Sward" scale. By analysis of the data below it is evident that Parylene C provides superior mechanical protection at thicknesses utilized for conformal coating applications. Figure 3 |
